Discover the journey ↓The Tripolitania and Ghadames Tour is a seven-day journey through some of Libya’s most important cultural and archaeological destinations. Explore Tripoli, the Roman cities of Leptis Magna and Sabratha, and travel west to the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Ghadamès and its oasis.

Explore the monumental heart of the ancient city, including the Arch of Septimius Severus, the forum, theatre and arena area. Pause for lunch near the archaeological site, then return to Tripoli with time for refreshments on the way.

Stop at Qasr Nalut and have lunch in Nalut before continuing south. Arrive in Ghadames in the evening and settle into your hotel.
Approx. 600 km · Nalut stop · Dinner & overnight in GhadamesSpend the day exploring Ghadames, with time for the old city, oasis and museum. The traditional covered passages and earthen architecture reveal the town’s long role as a Saharan crossroads. The programme also includes a visit towards Ain Mjezzim and a desert sunset experience. Where arranged locally, the evening may include a campfire with Tuareg music and dancing.

The journey to Ghadames and the return to Tripoli are long overland days, each listed at around 600 km in the published programme. Stops and timing are confirmed before departure.
The tour does not assume a festival is taking place. If your dates coincide with a confirmed local cultural event, ask us what can realistically be included in your programme.
