Walk with the desert team, spend your nights in camp and experience one of Libya’s most distinctive desert landscapes.

Fly to Sebha, meet your desert team in Germa and continue into Erg Ubari. Settle into camp as the evening light falls across the dunes.
Domestic flight & desert transfer · Desert campMeet the camel handlers and head out among the dunes. Today gives you time to get used to walking on sand, take in the open views and enjoy the changing shapes of the landscape. End the day with sunset over Erg Ubari before returning to camp.
Around 3 hours walking · Desert campAfter breakfast, begin the next stretch of the camel-supported trek towards the lake region. Walking through the high dunes is part of the experience: take your time, follow the team’s pace and enjoy the quiet between stops. Camp in the desert overnight.
Around 3–4 hours walking · Desert campContinue through the lake region, with Gabraoun and Mahfou on the planned route. The contrast between the water, palms and surrounding dunes makes this one of the most memorable parts of the journey. There is time to take in the scenery before another night at camp.
Around 3–4 hours walking · Desert campToday’s trek continues towards Oum El Ma, also known as Um El Ma. Walk through the surrounding dunes and enjoy the changing views as you approach the lake. Spend the evening at your desert camp after a day on foot.
Around 3–4 hours walking · Desert campExplore the Mandara area and its surrounding vegetation before your final night in the desert. The lakes do not all look alike, and water levels can change. This last stretch is a chance to enjoy the landscape at walking pace before the return journey.
Around 3–4 hours walking · Desert campLeave the dunes behind and transfer to Sebha for the flight to Tripoli. Say goodbye to your desert team and settle into your accommodation in the capital for the final night of the trip.
Desert transfer & domestic flight · Overnight in TripoliTransfer to the airport for your onward flight. Your pickup time will be arranged around your confirmed departure, bringing your eight-day journey to a close.
